QuantList helps you discover, filter and track quantitative finance companies around the world. The directory is a starting point for your own research.
What belongs in the index
Company brands with a documented official website, supported quantitative finance relevance and at least one recorded office in the source research. The current snapshot combines 575 approved rows from R34_PASS20 and 509 approved rows from US_PASS15. After consolidating 125 equivalent employer-brand records, the index contains 959 companies.
Coverage is currently concentrated in Europe and the United States. The word “worldwide” describes the directory’s purpose, not a claim of complete worldwide coverage.
Where the classifications come from
R34 Pass 20 supplies the classification taxonomy and approved European public export. USA Pass 15 supplies the approved US public export using compatible categories. Only documented values are imported. A missing tag means unknown; it does not mean the company lacks that activity.
920 companies have at least one quant-focus tag; 165 have at least one documented method. Company size is often unclassified. Filters match any selected value inside a group and require a match across all selected groups.
Locations are paired, capabilities are company-level
A city always belongs to its recorded country and, for US locations, state. A company with Paris and London offices appears once globally. Its presence in a city does not prove that a particular quant desk or team is located there. Classification tags combine supported company-level information from the approved sources.
Brands, names and identity
The public directory operates at employer-brand level, not legal-entity level. Exact company names with the same official domain and explicitly reviewed brand variants are consolidated. A shared parent website alone is insufficient: distinct subsidiaries and specialist employer brands may remain separate. Old IDs redirect to their current company so saved marks survive a merge.
A simple discovery workflow
Search a name, alias, place or category. Select countries, company types or quant focus. Open the official website directly in a new tab. Use the check to mark a company explored and the star to save it independently. Nothing is marked explored automatically.
Your progress is saved locally. Export a backup from My List to move between devices. Shared filter links exclude your progress and personal view.
What this snapshot does not establish
This is not a live jobs feed, a certification of employers, an investment recommendation, or an assurance that a website or company office remains current. Source snapshot: 2026-10-18. Website uptime, open positions and local team composition have not been rechecked as part of this redesign.
